Can’t even begin to remember how many parakeets I’ve had. Most survived the cats but not all.

Kirsten was given two cockatiels when she was around 8 or 9 years old. Of course, when she moved out at 18, I inherited them. Never did name them. They lived a long time – about 10-12 years. One was naked (featherless) except for it’s wings. Never did know the sex of either. One day I found an egg in the bottom of the cage. Had no idea which one laid it. Neither one tried nesting on it but about a week later I found the naked one dead. Then about 2 years later, the other one died.
